Spotty faced off against Williamstown in Round 3, with captain Rohan making the calls after winning the toss. Rohan decided to field first, hoping to replicate the success of their previous match. However, Williamstown’s batsmen took full advantage of the quick outfield, leaving Spotty’s bowlers bewildered. Despite some impressive moments from the spinners in the middle overs, and 2 impressive catches by Aneesh, Williamstown’s strong batting and Spotty’s limited fielding resources allowed them to reach 153.
When Spotty started batting, they were confident, but the conditions proved challenging. The top order struggled, and Spotty’s batting innings got off to a shaky start ( thanks to the Sun and moving red ball). Middle-order batsmen Goutham and Kush tried their best to keep the wicket, and they somewhat succeeded in preventing the team from getting all out.
We strongly believe that we will come back stronger in the next match.
Cheers
Amar
