The Spoties were revving their engines, ready to take on Williamstown in a thrilling 2-day match. But, things got a little hairy - several players were MIA on holiday, leaving the team with only 9 players on day one and a measly 7 on day two. And, to make matters more interesting, the weather forecast was looking pretty soggy for day one. But, the team's spirits were still soaring, thanks to their fearless captain, Kush. After losing the toss, the Spoties' bowling unit did a stellar job, restricting Williamstown to 85 runs for 4 wickets in 24 overs. When it was their turn to bat, Kush (27) and Hank (29) put up a fantastic opening partnership, but the team's batting collapsed, and the drizzle forced them to stop the match with 2 overs remaining.
On day two, the Spoties started their innings with only 7 players, but they were still raring to go. Aneesh (28) and Goutham (23) batted like pros and put up a total score of 145. Although the team's bowling unit did another great job in the second innings, they ultimately lost the match having only 7 players. But, the boys won hearts with their determination and spirit.
Cheers
